LOD Global
We facilitate a connection
The League’s Global Network has existed since 2017, when we hosted our first T1D Global Conference in London. The LOD network has expanded to connect likeminded organisations to DiAthlete, who share a common purpose to make Type 1 diabetes education connect further with the people living 24/7 with the condition. Across the continents, we facilitate a connection of local diabetes NGOs, organisations and support groups, who wish to improve and host community events and outcomes.
In the LOD Global Network we offer
A global connection of diabetes advocates who represent their local diabetes NGO / Group with an engaging WhatsApp chat; quarterly virtual meetings, where connected organisations share their work and LOD provides project trainings with keynote speakers; opportunities to register to main scientific / diabetes community conferences; updated awareness of the world of diabetes care; a social media platform to further broadcast your work and pages; occasional volunteer opportunities with other global NGOs; occasional face to face training opportunities.
